   Nathan ended up as a guest at a wedding ceremony performed by the holy man in the castle. Nathan was impressed by the deep sense of continuity and magnificence, harmony, and abundance within the ceremony. After the wedding, Nathan was able to exchange a few words with the holy man.
   "Thank you for the wonderful ceremony," Nathan affirmed.
   The holy man smiled. "So many people helped to put it all together. I was only the one performing it, which was probably the easiest job of all."
   "I doubt that, but I know that you have had a lot of practice."
   The holy man suddenly became serious. "Let's talk for a moment." He grabbed Nathan by the elbow and took him aside. "You know that in the Tarot Realm, many people work on a spiritual level to create harmony, magnificence, and abundance. Some of these people are empaths, in other words, they are people who take on the negativity of others and neutralize it. Some of them take on the negativity of individuals, but a few are able to neutralize the negativity within groups and communities. And a few are even able to neutralize the negativity of humanity as a whole. Even in the Tarot Realm, few people acknowledge their contributions to society, but without the spiritual support of empaths, we would not experience the harmony, abundance and magnificence and the deep sense of human continuity from one generation to another that we experience at significant ceremonies such as this wedding. In the realm you came from, empaths are rarely acknowledged at all, and sometimes they are even attacked because to some domineering people they seem vulnerable. But empaths are able to experience the dimensions of Universal Consciousness as a natural part of their normal existence. They feel the subtle forces behind existence and strive for the highest good of others. They are so keenly aware of the negativity within others that is it almost in their best interest to neutralize negativity for the highest possible good of everyone around them."
   "That sounds almost more like a curse than a blessing."
   "In a way, it is a kind of curse, but empaths take on the negativity of others as their sacrifice so that we can all feel a deep sense of connection and continuity and know the magnificence, harmony, and abundance of the human spirit. This sacrifice is an aspect of the ethical triangle comprised of Jupiter, Mars, and The Sun. I'm just curious. Did you feel any subtle forces during the ceremony?"
   Nathan thought for a moment. "I did. I suppose that during a wedding it was fitting that I experienced the marriage of heaven and earth, in other words, the influence of Venus, the Goddess of Love."
   "Yes. Venus is the Empress who reveals that love prevails."
   "And she is married to the Emperor, the Monarch of the Golden Ages. Perhaps without the marriage of heaven and earth, we would not have any golden ages at all."
   "True, my friend. Did you feel the magnificence, abundance, and harmony of the human spirit during the ceremony?"
   "Yes. I think everyone at the ceremony did. So I was also feeling the influence of Jupiter?"
   "When the Emperor and Empress come together, it is only fitting that the great God Jupiter should be present as well."
   Nathan smiled. "So does that mean I am an empath?"
   "Most people are empathic to some degree. Some have that empathy beaten out of them. In the realm where you came from, many people are severely harmed and have great difficulty experiencing any empathy at all. A few who have been beaten down allow themselves to experience empathy anyway because they have experienced the ethical triangle and know that neutralizing negativity is necessary for the greatest possible good of us all."
   "Thank you, my friend, I will remember your wise words if I return to my homeland."
   "All Gods are One God, and all Goddesses are One Goddess, and there is only One True Initiator."

The Emperor: Aries (AI Version)

   Nathan pulled out the Four of Wands from his Tarot deck. The card revealed harmony, abundance, and magnificence. As he gazed at the card, he remembered that the decan association of the Four of Wands is Venus in Aries, and the Tree of Life correspondence is Jupiter in Mercy, the fourth Emanation on the Tree of Life.

He chose the Four of Wands as the central card, as well as The Emperor, which represents Aries, and The Empress, which represents Venus, and The Wheel of Fortune, which represents Jupiter, as modifying cards.

   Then Nathan got ready to create an artificial elemental, also known as a living image, with the Tarot Pentagram Spread.

   First, since Fire is an active element, he used the Active Invoking Pentagram while laying down the foundation cards, starting in the lower right corner of the pentagram, moving to the upper left corner and continuing from there.

Active and Passive Invoking Pentagrams

   After he placed all of the cards, he tapped each card in the direction of the Active Invoking Pentagram, making sure to tap the one in the position of Fire in the lower right corner to complete the pentagram.

Foundation Cards with the Four of Wands

   Then he placed the Four of Wands in the middle of the pentagram, saying, "Four of Wands, Lord of Perfected Work, Venus in Aries, Jupiter in Mercy," and tapped the card.

Modifying Cards for the Three of Wands

   Then, since Aries is a Fire sign, and the Four of Wands represents Venus in Aries, Nathan placed The Emperor as a modifier on the Ace of Wands. As he was tapping the card, he stated, "The Emperor, Aries, 'the Monarch of the Golden Ages.'" After that, he placed The Empress over The Emperor and stated, "The Empress, 'the Marriage of Heaven and Earth.'" Then he placed The Wheel of Fortune on The Empress and stated, "The Wheel of Fortune, Jupiter, 'Aspiration.'"

Spirit Pentagram

   Then Nathan drew the Active Invoking Spirit Pentagram and the spirit wheel in brilliant white above the Four of Wands on the altar, charging the pentagram and the symbol in the usual way with the Sign of the Enterer. Next, he drew an Invoking Pentagram for Fire directly over the Spirit Pentagram, charging the pentagram and the symbol of Leo in the usual way. At that point, he imagined the symbol of Leo becoming the living image of the Four of Wands, and it came alive in his imagination. As Nathan visualized the living image, he imagined that salamanders filled the living image while at the same time tiny points of winged light flowed from his own aura and filled the living image as well.

Invoking Pentagram for Fire

   After gazing at the three cards for a moment, he stated, "Lord of Perfected Work, I humbly ask thee to help me to continue feeling a sense of continuity as well as the magnificence, harmony, and abundance of the human spirit. Help me to know the energies of the ethical triangle of the Tree of Life so that I feel compassion and understand selfless sacrifice."
   Then he ended by saying, "So mote it be!" Before he finished the ritual, he imagined for a few minutes feeling the energies of the ethical triangle and manifesting self sacrifice and harmonizing love.
   From that point on, Nathan sometimes felt a greater sense of continuity and the magnificence of the human spirit.

   After a few weeks, Nathan recovered from his wounds, and as he was riding through the realm, he saw eight wands hurling through the sky. All the wands were the same distance from each other and all were flying at about the same speed. Nathan was astounded that eight people could throw wands so accurately, almost as if they had formed a group mind that enabled them to work together with great precision. As a knight, Nathan had encountered amazing discipline on the battlefield but had never witnessed anything quite like this kind of skill before. Wondering if he was having a vision, Nathan blinked his eyes, but the wands kept flying until they finally fell upon the earth at the same time.

The Magician: Mercury (AI Version)

   The holy man in the castle visited Nathan again. "I see, my friend, that you have fully recovered. It appears that you have even been riding your horse again. That is a good sign."
   "Yes, and I saw the strangest thing," Nathan replied. "While traveling I saw eight wands flying together, all equidistant from each other, until they finally hit the ground together, as if all the warriors had all hit their target at the same time because they had developed the same skill. I have never seen warriors work with such precise coordination before."
   "I know the eight people of whom you speak," the holy man replied. "They have developed great skill as warriors. It only shows you what the human mind is capable of."
   "Well, I have to say that I am impressed," Nathan nodded.
   The holy man gazed at Nathan but seemed to look through him. "Yes, I suspect that you have the kind of skill that enables people to create and effectively protect great civilizations. Do you have any idea what the subtle source of this skill might be?"
   Nathan thought for a moment. "Well, it took great discipline of both mind and body. It revealed a kind of skill that transcends martial discipline. It was almost like magic."

The Magician: Mercury (3D Version)

   "And who is the great magician in this realm?"
   "Mercury, of course."
   "And what is the mythological principle of Mercury?"
   "The Creation of the World."
   "Yes, you are correct. On the Pillar of Severity on the Tree of Life, Mars is Saturn on a lower arc, and Mercury is Mars in the realm of human consciousness. The great God that we know as Mercury in the Tarot Realm is also known as Thoth in a far more ancient realm. Thoth is associated with the Logos: the meaning at the heart of creation. In other words, in other times and other realms, people have experienced the same subtle forces but have given them different names. Like Thoth, Mercury has given us the gifts of communication and technology and has enabled us to coordinate our efforts in seemingly magical ways. This skill enables us to create a sense of unity and continuity in a constantly changing world. As a mob, people can form a group mind that makes them lower than the beasts, but through communication and discipline, a group of people can attain great heights through the ability to form a coordinated group mind. Did you experience any other subtle influences besides Mercury?"
   "The kind of influence that enables us to attain great heights, as you mentioned. I am not quite sure what it is, though."
   "What is the mythological principle of Sagittarius?"
   Nathan had to think hard for a moment. "The Ascent to Heaven. Ah, I see what you mean. If we work together effectively, we can create great cathedrals and amazing civilizations and ascend as high as the angels."
   "Through a sense of our unity with others, we can also share a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood and enable each other to touch the dimensions of Universal Consciousness. Remember, though, that when you return to your homeland, you will find that the people with power and wealth are very adept at creating mob mentality. They do not want people to experience the ascent to heaven or to realize that they can create a magnificent world together. Quite simply, the people in power want all the wealth. They want people to remain submissive units of labor who do not experience lofty emotions and do not fight for ideals that include the creation of a sense of unity and continuity for all people. The wealthy only want laborers who work in a coordinated manner to make them more money. In order to maintain their huge profits, the people in power scapegoat vulnerable groups and pervert the great gifts that Mercury and Sagittarius have given us. Be extremely careful in your homeland, for instead of remaining a knight, you might end up, like so many there, an exploited and embittered wage slave who takes out his anger and frustration on others."
   "I will remember the gifts the Gods and Goddesses have given us."
   "All Gods are one God, and all Goddesses are one Goddess. There is only One True Initiator." The holy man smiled and gave Nathan a hug before he departed.

   After searching through his Tarot deck, Nathan decided to create a living image of The Eight of Wands with the Tarot Pentagram Spread and placed the cards down on his altar in the direction of the element of Fire: south. In other words, he placed all the cards in the pentagram with the tops facing south on his altar.

   Since Fire is an active element, he used the Active Invoking Spirit Pentagram while laying down the cards, starting in the lower right corner of the pentagram, moving to the upper left corner and continuing from there. After he placed all of the cards, he tapped each card in the direction of the Active Invoking Spirit Pentagram, making sure to tap the one in the position of Fire in the lower right corner to complete the pentagram.

Foundation Cards with The Eight of Wands

   Then he placed the the Eight of Wands in the middle of the pentagram, saying, "The Eight of Wands, Mercury in Sagittarius, Mercury in Splendor," and tapped the card.

Then he imagined that the appropriate elementals, salamanders, flowed from the Archangel Michael and filled the living image while at the same time tiny gleaming points of Fire flowed from his aura and fill the living image as well.

   Then he said, "I name you Lord of Swiftness."
   Then he said, "From the astral light, provide me with the skill to create a magnificent world of brotherhood and sisterhood so that all people can ascend to the heights of the angels."
   He ended by saying, "So mote it be!" Then he imagined for a few minutes the living image of The Lord of Swiftness providing him with strength from the powerful archetypal energies of the Tree of Life to create a world of magnificence, harmony, and abundance.
   Then he ended with the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.

   Nathan was fighting off invaders on the beach when he saw a warrior on a hill about to take on six soldiers in chain mail and helmets. The soldiers were threatening the warrior, but he did not hesitate to fight them all at the same time. Nathan dashed over to aid the brave warrior, and in about twenty minutes of hand to hand combat, the six soldiers were vanquished. Not long after, the invaders were driven back to their boats. Nathan and all the other warriors knew that the invaders wanted to enslave the people and plunder the resources of the Tarot Realm, so all of the warriors were motivated to find the strength and courage to fight off a larger force.
   As Nathan was recovering from his wounds, he thought about the subtle forces that were influencing his comrades during the battle. As a knight, Nathan was always prepared for conflict, but he had never wondered what subtle forces were giving him the courage to face extremely daunting challenges. Just then, the holy man in the castle came to visit him.
   The holy man smiled as he approached Nathan, "Good to see you again, my friend. I am glad to see that you are recovering quickly from the recent conflict."
   Nathan smiled. "Good to see you again as well. Thank you for coming to see me."
   "My pleasure," the holy man replied.
   "While you're here, can I ask you a question?" Nathan asked.
   "Of course, my friend."
   "During the battle, we were greatly outnumbered, but the men found the courage to fight them off and drive them away from our land. Some of our soldiers even took on five or six at one time. What gave them the courage to do that?"
   "The instinct for combat is strong, but often something higher influences warriors during battle. You all knew that you were there to protect the people and the land. You were there to protect our freedoms and the plants and animals in our realm. Can you think of any subtle forces that might have been influencing you?"
   "Well, I know that as warriors, we are guided by Mars, but there seemed to be something more. I remember now that during the battle we were all fighting like lions. Was Leo influencing us as well?"
   "Ah, yes, the force of Mars can give you great courage and strength, but the force of Leo can give you something extremely powerful as well. Do you remember the mythological principle associated with Leo?"
   Nathan thought hard for a moment. "I'm sorry, I don't remember. Perhaps I can't remember because of the blow to my head."
   "No worries, my friend. I'll refresh your memory. The mythological principle of Leo is 'Meeting with the Other Self.'"
   "Hmm, the other self. I am not sure what that means."
   "Within us, we each have a higher self that connects us with Universal Consciousness, and this higher self sometimes shines through in times of trouble. Some call it the Holy Guardian Angel. In another realm, it is known as the 'daimon.' As you know, Atriel is your guardian angel, but we also have within our personal consciousness a kind of angel that inspires us to fight for what is right despite all the odds. Our higher self can give us great strength and courage and power even in the worst circumstances. I suspect, for instance, that many of you were meeting your higher self on the battlefield the other day."
   "Yes, I can think of more than a few who certainly were. But another force seemed to be influencing us as well."
   "You were there to protect the people and our natural environment, were you not?"
   "Yes, we were."
   "Do you remember the mythological principle of Venus?"
   "'The Marriage of Heaven and Earth.' So, in our connection with Universal Consciousness we were inspired by the forces within nature?"
   "It's quite possible that many of you gained strength and power from your desire to protect the natural world. You knew the invaders had come to plunder our resources. The higher self connects us to the natural world, for all of nature is a manifestation of the Source of Creation. The higher self reveals that everything is connected, and sometimes we see clearly that we need to fight for our brothers and sisters, which includes the plants and animals of this earth."
   "I see now why so many were fighting like lions the other day." Nathan smiled and closed his eyes. "Thank you for visiting me."
   "You are very welcome, my friend."

As Nathan visualized the living image, he imagined that salamanders filled the living image while at the same time tiny points of winged light flowed from his own aura and filled the living image as well.

Invoking Pentagram for Fire

   After gazing at the cards for a moment, he stated, "Lord of Valor, I humbly ask thee to help me to live in my higher self so that I may help my brothers and sisters in the human realm and in the natural world."
   Then he ended by saying, "So mote it be!" Before he finished the ritual, he imagined for a few minutes living in his higher self.
   From that point on, Nathan often felt a sense of living in his higher self.

   While Nathan was studying a Tarot card, the holy man in the castle knocked on his door.
   After the holy man stepped into the room, he remarked, "I've heard that you are thinking about going back to the realm from which you came, but you are worried that your homeland has become so harsh and deranged that your attempts to work for a higher good there might end up being futile. On a deeper level, you are also worried that all action is vanity because of the ceaseless impermanence of this temporal world. Is this true?"
   "Yes, I think so. News travels fast here...."
   "I think perhaps that I can help. Come with me now to the cathedral."
   Without saying a word, Nathan followed the holy man to the cathedral next to the castle.
   After they entered the cathedral, the holy man whispered, "I think you might learn something here. First, look carefully at the symbols above the mason, the monk, and the architect. What do they tell you?"
   Nathan quietly responded, "Well, the three pentacles suggest the top three Emanations of the Tree of Life, known as The Crown, Wisdom, and Understanding. Together, they represent the soul or spirit of creation, the Neshamah, a Hebrew word that is also translated as "breath." Below the three pentacles, the balanced cross within the circle, which signifies the four elements in harmony within eternity, suggests the fourth Emanation known as Mercy, the plane of manifestation associated with Jupiter. The five-petaled flower containing the balanced cross suggests the fifth Emanation known as Power, associated with Mars. Together they signify the top five Emanations of Creation, which represent high spiritual energies that manifest in this realm."
   "You are learning. Notice that the fleur de lys is also a prominent symbol."
   Nathan responded, "Why, yes, I see that now, but I'm not sure what the symbol means."
   "Legend has it that as Adam and Eve were being expelled from Eden, Lilies sprang from the tears of Eve. Lilies are white, and white symbolically represents unity."
   "So, after their expulsion, Adam and Eve no longer felt the unity of Universal Consciousness?"
   "Correct, but the lilies in the legend reveal that the personal experience of the unity of Universal Consciousness is the way to return to paradise. Why do you think the triangles are also prominent symbols?"
   "The upward pointing triangle is associated with Air and Fire, active elements of force. The downward pointing triangle is associated Water and Earth, passive elements of form. I never thought of this before, but a three-sided geometric figure would be associated with the third Emanation, which is also associated with Saturn, the Father of the Gods representing the primordial creation of basic form. The third Emanation is also associated with the Celestial Mother and the womb of manifestation. Both Saturn and Mars are associated with the harmony and order that can be manifested through structure and form. Thanks to you, I have learned that Mars is Saturn on a lower arc."
   "All of these archetypal energies remain within Universal Consciousness. Even if someone destroyed the harmony and order of your realm, the archetypal energies remain as the basis for manifestation--the basis for a new form of creation. The mason and monk and architect are significant as well. They suggest how the archetypal energies manifest down the planes. The monk has experienced the spiritual realms that reveal the symbols of the archetypal energies, the architect has created the mental structures that manifest as this magnificent edifice, and the mason is now manifesting the mental structures in physical form."
   "This is a magnificent process of creation."
   "Even if some dictator destroys all sense of harmony and unity in your realm, you can reconnect with the underlying unity of Universal Consciousness and build a world of harmony and order again. It might take awhile, but the expenditure of energy is an aspect of sacrifice. The people working on this cathedral know that it will probably take hundreds of years to complete, but that is part of their sacrifice. If you return to your homeland, you might face daunting sacrifices, but you know the spirit realms and the archetypal energies and structures behind existence, and you know ways of manifesting harmony and order. Many others like you have faced daunting circumstances throughout history, in your realm and in the Tarot Realm, but many people have nevertheless continued to neutralize evil and maintain balance to reveal the magnificence, harmony, and abundance of the spiritual realms."
   "Thank you. I see now how we can create continuity in our own lives instead of feeling like we are living in an absurd state of ceaseless impermanence. I will make a decision soon."
   "It is not an easy decision to make. There are many in your realm who wish to tear down those who can see into the spirit realms and those with the ability to create magnificent and harmonious mental structures and those who can manifest harmonious structures in form. To avert attention away from their immorality and their crimes, they lie continuously and cause divisiveness so that different groups hate each other instead of focusing their hatred on them. Those rogues destroy any sense of continuity and unity and would negate all the cathedrals in the world. They would continue to pollute and plunder the great cathedral of nature for their own profit until nothing is left. In your homeland, these people have the power and wealth."
   "Thank you, once again, for your insights. Whatever I decide, I will strive for the highest possible good." Nathan bowed and returned to his room to perform a ritual.

The Tower: Mars (AI Version)

   Nathan was greatly impressed by the cathedral. He searched through his Tarot deck and found the Three of Pentacles, which resembled what he had actually witnessed. The Three of Pentacles represents Mars in Capricorn and the Saturn in Understanding. Nathan decided to make the Three of Pentacles the central card in his Tarot pentagram ritual, and since he also wanted to experience the energies of Mars in Capricorn, as well as the energies of Saturn, he decided to use The Tower, The Devil, and The World as modifiers.

   Capricorn, the holy man once said, represents life forces that we can experience in every plant and animal to develop a greater understanding of how Universal Consciousness manifests in the world. Like The Devil, Capricorn can at times terrify human beings because of the awesome life forces that are beyond human control.    In the Tarot card The World, the four elements, Air, Water, Fire, and Earth, are manifesting harmoniously within the sphere of influence of the individual. The elements manifest in the natural world, but people, Nathan realized, can manifest the subtle elements to create a magnificent cathedral as well as a harmonious community full of abundance.

   Since the suit of Pentacles represents Earth, a passive element, Nathan used the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram while laying down the foundation cards, the Aces and Judgement, starting in the lower left corner of the pentagram, moving to the upper right corner and continuing from there.

Passive and Active Invoking Pentagrams

   After he placed all of the cards, he tapped each card in the direction of the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram, making sure to tap the one in the lower left corner to complete the pentagram. Then he placed the Two of Pentacles in the middle of the pentagram and tapped the card, saying, "Three of Pentacles, Lord of Material Works, Mars in Capricorn and Saturn in Understanding." Then he placed the modifiers, The Devil, The Tower, and The World, on the Ace of Pentacles in the lower left hand corner of the pentagram.

   First, he placed The Devil on the Ace of Pentacles and stated while tapping the card, "The Devil, Capricorn, the 'Meeting with the Powers of Life.'" Then, he placed The Tower on the first modifier and stated, "The Tower, Mars, 'The War at the World's End.'"
   As he placed The World on the second modifier, he said while tapping the card, "The World, Saturn, 'Descent into the Underworld,'" and he remembered that during meditation he descended deep into the void in order to ascend to high spiritual realms, such as the third Emanation on the Tree of Life associated with Saturn.

Spirit Pentagram

   Then he drew the Passive Invoking Spirit Pentagram and the spirit wheel in the air in brilliant white above the Two of Pentacles on the altar, charging the pentagram and the spirit wheel in the usual way with the Sign of the Enterer.

Pentagram for the Element of Earth

   After that, he drew an Invoking Pentagram for Earth directly over the Invoking Spirit Pentagram, charging the pentagram and the symbol of Taurus in the usual way. At that point, he imagined the symbol of the bull's head becoming the living image of the Three of Pentacles. Then he imagined gnomes flowing from the Archangel Auriel and filling the living image while at the same time the bright points of the Earth element flowed from his aura and filled the living image as well.
   Then he said, "Lord of Material Works, help me to create a world of magnificence, abundance, and harmony through sacrifice."
   Then he stated, "Perform this task until I have succeeded in mastering this ability, doing no harm. So mote it be!"
   He imagined for a few minutes manifesting subtle archetypal energies of the Tree of Life to create mental structures that establish harmony, abundance, and magnificence within himself and the realm for the highest possible good. He, of course, performed the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram before he completed the ritual.
   Afterwards, Nathan often felt the magnificence of spirit manifesting within himself and humanity and the community of all life.
